seeking the perfect pair...

Lately, i've been on the hunt for the perfect pair of pants; it has been an exhausting experience. i still haven't found exactly what i've been looking for, but here are a few contenders, at least in terms of shape. I'm looking for something slightly higher-waisted, kind of tapered, and with the option to roll up the bottom to show off the shoes. here are a few i've come across with potential:


I really like these topshop cropped pants...they're also completely in line with the khaki trend. $70 at topshop.com; not a bad price. they could work.

a pair from reiss.co.uk - also cute; not entirely sold on these, though. still, cute. cost: $95


a nice pair from asos.com. i do really like these. still, hard to tell how the fabric will look in person...and returns to the UK suck. still, at $76.49...it may be worth it to test these babies out.


these may win the contest. super simple, super cute jcrew cropped trouser at jcrew.com. for $118, i may have to think this decision over a little while longer.

We had an amazing time, and the photographer was fabulous. I do have some more individual pics from my own camera, but I have to upload them...which I'll do soon! In my pics you can see my entire outfit.

i actually own this. it's fabulous in person! slightly angry that i paid full price...but happy for all the divas who get a deal! you can create the same effect by adding a studded belt to one of your already-owned lbds! you can be trendy on a budget.

austin's tribeza fashion week

Eek. It's been too long since my last post! I promise, I'll get better....

I've been completely preoccupied with Austin Tribeza Fashion Week 2009; a lot was going on between that and all of my other work! Anyway, I haven't seen a lot of the pictures come out yet; in fact, I've only come across one photographer who's posted pics from the show & events. And the pictures which Tribeza has on their site are from the same photographer --JohnPesina at telexphoto.com. Here are the pictures so far....like I said...I have my eye out for more!

Look 2: This one is fun...there are a bunch of cute pendants/jewels are up on the neckline, too; again, I'll try to get some close ups.

Look 3: my fave; again, looking for a better angle! This necklace is awesome -- it's called 'the academy.' love it! also, fun earrings.

So, my sis came out for labor day, which was exciting for me! We had lots of fun running around Austin together, and we even made time for a couple photo shoots. That was a high priority on my list, since she's a fantastic model, as is evident in the photos:

outfit of the day: summer chic

And then it was September.........

Crazy. I can't believe that the summer months are pretty much over (even though it's still in the high 90s here in Austin...that ain't autumn weather, my friends)! Don't pack away your summer whites and florals just yet, though; you've still got time to relish in the beauty of summer's boho slouchyness (is that a word? probably not) and romantic ruffles.

Here are some pictures of an outfit I wore the other day...it was HOT out = sweaty. I was trying to get an outdoor shot with the Austin skyline in the background....it kinda/sorta worked; unfortunately, I can't direct and be in shoots at the same time. And the sun was crazy bright, so there's definitely over-exposure, too, sigh. Damn relinquishing-of-all-control. Hate it.
