spring obsessions! jeffrey campbell & erin wasson x rvca

hooray for spring...fashion! florals and neutrals and wedges...oh my! i can't get enough of spring's fabulous trends, and, lately, i have not seen a jeffrey cambell shoe i don't love. most of them are unattainable and on backorder for months, like the jeffrey campbell pixie, my FAVORITE wedge ever. i can't even get it until may...so sad:
available in early may at need supply co. (which is a fabulous, recently-discovered site!), $172

And here are the two pairs I couldn't resist (and were available!)
jeffrey cambpell tick, sold out; get on the wait list at solestruck.com $170

jeffrey campbell mary rocks, $120 at lorisshoes.com
AND if you use code 'toutie' when you check out, you get 20% off at lori's shoes! final cost for these puppies: $96!

LAST, but not least. THE NEW ERIN WASSON X RVCA HITCHHIKER DRESS is finally out! Wow, took too long. was supposed to go on sale the end of february, but was unattainable until today:
erin wasson x rvca sweet hitchhiker dress, $90, available here at revolveclothing.com

ANOTHER deal! Use promo code 'tulip' and get 15% off at revolve.
total cost for the dress: $76.50.

shoe crush: chloe sevigny for open ceremony multi buckle wedge booties

chloe sevigny for open ceremony multi buckle wedge booties, $625

In the words of Rachel Zoe, "I die!" (so excited that the new season of the Rachel Zoe Project is about to start!)

Wow, I just saw these shoes for the first time today on shopbop.com's new lookbook, and I was in love! Then I saw that they were one of Chloe Sevigny's shoes, and I was reminded at just how much I admire that woman's style. I must post about her soon!

from shopbop.com

In any case, it took me a bit to find any info about these shoes; the shopbop link just leads to a blank page....so I'm not sure where you actually could buy the shoes, provided that you do have the $625 available. Still, I really like the styling shopbop did with the shoes; I'm definitely into the whole neo-take on the 1990s -- the coming reincarnation is far more fashionable than the actual decade. Oh, the 90s!

Then, while browsing, I came across these beauties:

jeffrey campbell potion, $154.95 at solestruck.com

Jeffrey Campbell sure makes some great shoes...and, sure enough, I could only find these babies available for pre-order, arriving around October 15th (2 months...!?!). Somehow, though, I stumbled across solestruck.com, and they had my size in stock! I couldn't resist...I ordered them right away; I feel like I found the perfect shoe for fall!

Really makes me want to be in nyc...I felt so much more inpired with fashion when I was visiting there! Austin's flip flop abundance doesn't always give me the fashion rush I crave...

shoe crush: acne suede elastic strapped heeled shoes

Geez, the name of the shoe is a mouthful. But it's gorgeous! Provided I had the money to blow, I don't even know which color I'd get; they're both wonderful.

I loveeee the elastic banding. Such a simple idea, but it makes such a bold statement! These shoes are THE perfect fall shoe in my opinion -- in either color. I wish the black ones had a different color of elastic banding (gray, maybe?); but they are, nonetheless, very cool.

Want 'em? Only $413.78 at asos.com. Sigh. A girl can dream....

shoe crush of the day

Thick banded heels and wedges

In my efforts to find a savvy summer shoe, I've discovered a trend I like: thick or wide banding (or straps...I guess) on sandals, wedges, pumps....and pretty much any shoe. It's definitely closely-related to the gladiator look, but it's a little more streamlined and a little less masculine. Plus, I think these shoes have a higher chance of lasting through more seasons without going out of style, which is always something to think about when making a shoe purchase. Here are some of my favorites:

my fave, lovely Fendi Back-Zip Sandals at saks, $640

Modern Vintage Women's Ananise Platform Ankle Strap Sandal at endless.com, $275
($25 of $100 of certain shoes at Endless.com! Search "springevent" on their site for qualifying shoes.

Gee Wawa Women's Gambit Heeled Bootie Sandal at amazon.com, $277.95

Lawrence by nine west, $59.99

Love them all! I tried to include something for most price ranges. What do you think....like the trend?

Maison Martin Margiela Ovine Wedge Sandals
$895 at Saks

Because Mama has to pay the rent....

Ash Soho One Band Mid Heel Booties

The ash shoes are a really good look-a-like; still, I think I could die happy being buried in that insanely gorgeous pair of Maison Martin Margielas. The sleekness from the pointed heel up to the wide leather banding is captivating; I love looking at these shoes. Still, the ash pair is a bargain at $212 compared to $895! So, if you're impulsive -- buy the ash pair! If you're ready to save up some cash and invest, start stockpiling and dreaming of the Maison Martin Margielas.
