yes, it's true -- you have to be super careful when choosing your silhouettes. Many vintage 80s tops and dresses with shoulder pads absolutely engulf my narrow shoulders, so, big shoulders don't always work.
but, a little goes a long way. i adore this ruched shoulder black cardi which i picked up at h&m in michigan during christmas. it is the perfect amount of big shoulder-ness for me!

just had to throw in this pic of my sis & booey. i miss them :(so, break out the shoulder pads (in moderation, naturally). just remember to only test out one 80s element at a time!
